I do love my chestnut mannikins. They have good personalities, aren't demanding and are always interesting to watch. I also like there colours, an interesting mix of of the subtle brown tones. Not every bird has to have bright colours to be interesting in my book. :)

I personally like painteds, though I do like the look of plumheads and red brows but never kept them as I don't have a license.

Out of all the Aussie Natives I would have to say the Red Eared Firetail would have to be one of the most interesting species out there. A cousin of mine has them visit there grass tennis court daily in Manji in the South West of WA.

For a non bird people they don't understand what all the fuss is about when sit and watch them for hours??

Even though I have never had any other type of finch apart from Zebras (awesome little finch). I am quite fond of Painted for some reason. Always like Masked's and Pictorella some day will have them. :soppy:

My favorite is probably the Zebra, with Double bars and Hecks very close.

Gee, it's a tough one innit?
I find myself quite obsessed with Beautiful Firetails at the moment, so I guess I'll have to nominate them.
