Green singers

Thought I'll clean my aviary on my day off.. To my suprise my a green singer flys out of a box.. I look inside and there is 3 eggs could not believe it for I put out 4 boxes for my pair of tri. Pied sea greens & 2 pairs of goulds.. I have planted avairy plenty off bush. Never seen it b4.... Didn't think it could even fit through the hole.. ?? Just can't believe it

It is interesting to know that Green Singers could use boxes for nesting. I always thought that they like and need open nests to raise their young. They do check nest boxes, but because of curiosity. And since they are not bigger than Gouldians, so they should fit.

Yes I will keep you posted.. It's funny she sticks her head out of box and he'll feed her... It's a breeding box for gouldians..... I'll try to take a photo... & post it..

Lets hope he dosnt feed her too much or she wont be able to get out of the box until she slims down!
