Hi everyone. Another new member from Perth. I built my aviary 6 months ago after keeping a couple of finches in a patio aviary. Only have 8 finches- 1 pair each of painted, gouldian, yellow star and orange breasted waxbill. Looking forward to hearing about everyone elses birds and learning from more experienced people.

Thanks for welcome Buzzard 1. Don't know about numbers over here, but the ones that I've met through buying my little collection have been incredibly helpfull. The woman I bought my female star showed me how she breeds maggots (not that I would be game to even think of suggesting at home that I was going to breed them!) as well as giving me a bag of nesting feathers and seed heads to get started with.
