My Java's just rear on greens, and lots of them. Don't show any interest in egg food, or insects.

Pure protein, quickly and easily digested allows fats to be stored.

Need to feed mealworms sparingly, as the shell (chiton) is not digestable so can lead to blockages/obsruction of the bowl and even death (also happens with reptiles, particularlly with Gekos, and other small Lizards). Good stand by or addition to other live food, termites, maggots ect. Saying that I still use them daily for my softbills, but the main feed is still softfood & termites.

I plan to be breeding mealworms, maggots and termites when I get the birds going.
Which might be a while.
Daily fights about size, mum and I are fighting to the millimeter.
