Hello All,

Just wondering about getting supply of live finch food. eg. termites and fruit flies. What's the best way to get these critters for your aviary without creating pests?

I use termites all the time.I keep the nest pieces in a old esky covered with a damp cloth.They don't like the light and stay in the nest pieces I put a small smear of petroleum jelly around the lip more to stop the black ants getting in than to stop escapees.

Build a fruit fly trap, as per DIY thread.
