No Flab he has been someones pet , he was hanging around our back door but was too scared to come inside when we left the door open so we left the garage open and went in behind him with the net .
He had very droopy wings so we figure he had been an indoor caged bird and hadnt had much wing room .
He is very social and is now paired up with a little normal girl we bred and she looks to be on eggs , gonna be some surprises in that clutch .He is a Red fronted Yellow Turquiose Parrot (mutation and man made so to speak)
Here is a picture of a normal ( wild Turk)

Neophemas and Bourkes are beatiful birds but I've had no luck with them. The last pair of Turks I had succumbed to some sort of eye disease and all 3 Scarlets I had dropped off the perch after a short time. To me they are a rather soft bird. I have a pair of Bourkes at the moment but the male has developed an eye problem which I don't know how to resolve. This is the last time I keep these birds.

Yours look very healthy. Good luck with them!

I think Neophemas are like finches. Buy good healthy stock from the right source and treat them right and all will go well. Baring unexpected surprises. But birds like people can carry latent weakness that only cause problems when they are stressed. And re-locating can stress some birds.
