im generally one of those people where bad things happen all the time. Not long ago, all my finches dissappeared except one (a male). I figured out where the problem was. So im starting again. My mum went to the city and while she was there i asked to her buy my finch a partner only to find that she bought back a pair (they wouldnt sell single). The male of that pair seems to have a broken wing. i have a little cage for the two new birds at the moment. My original plan was to put the female with the other male in the aviary. i might follow through with that plan and Keep the male with the broken wing in the smaller cage, but put the cage in the aviary. is there something else i could do or should do?? what do i do with male with the broken wing??

Sounds like a plan, unless you've got a pet snake. If the wing is broken & the bird can't fly, it'll be fine in the small cage. If it is just droopy, or bruised & sore, it should, in time be able to fly, in wich case you could put it in the aviary. Sometimes they are able to get around by climbing the wire & flapping their wings to get up to perches ect., if it is able to get around like this & you've got some King Quial for company it would be alright in the aviary as well.

What VR1 said plus in a bigger aviary some branches that go from the ground up to higher branches will keep it mobile , they are very resilient little buggers .
