The short definition is Phenotype = Physical apppearance. Genotype = Genetic make up.

What you see visually/Phenotype:

BH PC GB (Black head, purple chest, green back)

when this combination is written down as Genotype: it reads as

Z RZ G+ W o+ o+ wb+ wb+ bl+ bl+

That was just to give you the idea of how Phenotype and Genotype are displayed. It depends how far into genetics you want to go.

if you do a google search for a zebra genetic forecaster Im sure Ive seen one somewhere, probably a Carlos Matos creation.
