I bought some cheapie solar lights yesterday . wasn't impressed last night but tonight they are putting off just enough light to get your bearings ....$5 a pair not going to lose out too much if they dont work.

i've got spotlights i can turn on to illuminate mine if necessary that i leave on for a few hours after a night fright

or,its a pain in the butt, but stand there for a while with some torches to let them hopefully get back to roosting spots

usually takes about 40 minutes, or at least 10 minutes after you heard the last flutter of birds getting somewhere comfortable. hope everything turns out alright.

My plan b was going to be those lcd battery operated night lights $10 from bunnings , they put out a bit more light than the solar.
When I have birds in the garage in extreme weather they have a kids night light plugged into the power point .Does the trick

I've moved one of my solar lights but was thinking a low voltage light on a timer would be good have access to power easily

Best advice I can offer is move beer inside. I would be very fit if I had to walk outside for each beer.

My aviaries are lit by led lights on a light sensor switch. No more night fright concerns for me.

I hae just installed a set of the HPM LED Bollard type (Modena) garden lights in our aviary, look great and put out a fair bit of light, very happy with them.
Was only $40 for the set from Bunnings, set of 4, plus bought an extra 2 at only $12 each.
