Aviary build started today .....

over it already ... In my imagination I have bludgeoned him with a hammer , drilled into his kneecap , cut his fingers off with the tin snips and these are only the ones I can repeat in public
However managed to stay cheery and nice all day .

Going to Orange tomorrow then episode 2 will start again Wednesday.

you'll be glad when it's over, and then you'll want another one

LOL @ Deb, I can relate to your dilemma.
I get really rattled when I get asked to "take that *pointing at something* up from over there and put over there."
What particular item among the many items (read tools we have been using) are we talking about?
Where exactly is from over there?
Where exactly is over there?

My favorite is "Just hold this while I get" . This tending to be above my head as I am height challenged.

And the "How" always gets a puzzled look as if he didn't know I couldn't reach it.

Yes it was the 19th" hang on to this "" no not that , this " that had the eyes glazing over and my mind drifting to what part of his anatomy was about to be sawn off .

Whats the sentence for murder ?. Will building an aviary together be enough to get me a lighter sentence ?

So we have some laserlight sheeting and I thought 1 sheet above where the feed table will be( as part of the roof) might be OK question is ...will it be ok in summer ? its 99% UV filtered .
Must ask at what stage of the build do we move avairy to perm location ...it gets heavier every day .

looking good! From someone who has never built an aviary from scratch (we buy the metal jobbies) - is there are reason you are not building it on site??? I would have thought that would be a better option?

Have always built on site, or done the frame then moved to site and erected and clad. Largest and smallest of my avairys are fully rooved. Part tin, part wire with the plastic that has wire in over it. The Zeb avairy is only partially rooved and it is the one I have to watch the weather with. (Hence the Zebs getting it.) But there is a very large Cape Lilac tree over the top for summer shade. So I would go with the laserlight, and think about adding a shade cloth stand that you could put shade cloth on in the heat of summer. About 30cms above the existing roof. shades and creates a breeze tunnel for cooling. Haven't done it myself, but know someone who has and she says it dropped the summer temp very well.

You are expected to have developed your muscles enough to carry by the time its finished.
