Would love some opinions on who should go with who in theses aviaries ...will start with 2 aviaries both 3 metres x 2.5 metres x 1.8 metres high .
I have ...
2 pair quarrion
1 pair bourkes
1 pair scarlets
2 pair turks ( not together )
1 pair red emblema
1 pair yellow emblema
2 pair gouldians
1 pair ruddies
1 pair O/breasts.
Realise the Turks may have to stay put for now ...and will be adding more quarrion ( max 1 pair ) and god only knows as yet how many more finches.

The top 3 would be fine together, I have all these together, turks are a neophema, so should be ok with these 3, but can't guarentee that, as I have never kept them.

I personally would not put any finches with parrots.

I reckon you have a couple of birds too many.....or an aviary or two short ;) ....but this is how I'd match 'em up with what you have.
2 pr quarrions, 2pr Turks and the Bourkes together. And put one of the pairs of Emblemas in with them so the red & yellow dont mix
In the 2nd aviary I'd run the Scarlets and all the other finches. You shouldnt put Turks in with Scarlets as they'll interbreed. This is all predicated on the assumption that you have Normal Turks & Scarlets, but if you have mutants

and want to specifically pair the turks up in a particular way, then we're stuffed

.
Note I suggest a mostly parrot aviary and a mostly finch aviary

.....Crackatinny has a point, whilst the Neophemas are quite OK with finches your main issue is numbers of parrots (particularly the quarrions) IMHO........watch the finch population explode in aviary 2 without the big guys staring at them all day ;)
Having said all that, see paragraph 1........less is more........

in each aviary, that is,....... more aviaries is OK

There is talk of a 6 metre aviary coming but we don't count our chickies till they hatch

Now if that rolls of the truck very soon it will be a case of too many aviarys not enough birds OH WHAT A DILEMNA

Never too many aviaries

You will just have a place to put all the young!!! I agree with all others.... I wouldnt put parrots in with finches... keep the parrots seperate..any young finches that fledge will more than likely become playthings for the quarrions!! I have a 6m aviary in the planning and convincing hubby stage

Put the Painteds and Gouldians, 1 pair per avairy. Put the Orange breasteds and Ruddys 1 pair per avairy. Sell the Parrotts and buy more finches.

Another way might be turning your two aviaries into 4 flights

.......put a dividing wall in each.....I'm assuming they're 3m long by 2.5 wide......either way it doesnt matter............Give the quarions a home of their own, run one pr Neophemas in each of the flights with a pair or two of finches in each flight with them.......makes it alot less busy within each flight....................or make your new 6m aviary 6x1m aviaries.........keep at least one free for holding young

If 6 metre happens it will be turned into either 2 x 3 metre cages or 3 x 2 metre cages . As it is I have decided Bourkes , Scarlets ans Quarrions together ..Finches all in together and dont know about Turks they may have to stay put till and if 6 metre happens .
Thought about dividing 3 metre into 2 aviaries but my whole objective has been to give the birds as much wing room as possible without them crashing into walls.
