For the last few days I haven't been able to access the forum a home... or anywhere actually. It comes up with a page similar to the ones that are 'domain for sale'.
Apparently some other members noticed this as well, any idea what happened?

I beleive the domain name forgot to get re-registered.
The other page that was shown would have been from a domain advertising company - buy buy old domains.
I assume the owners of AFF have been able to re-register the domain and put everything back to normal

(this is my guess - maybe the owner or a mod will fill us in?)

To the powers to be:
Is there money required to run this site, if so we would need an advertising sponsor
or a request for a donation from those who would be willing to donate.
Can you give us an idea

Would not hurt to have a self add where it says something like "If you would like to make a donation to the running of this site Please deposit your donation in account !@#$ %^& *()_ at !@#$ bank" Just a thought, and one that I have no doubt would not offend anyone and would get a steady trickle of donations. As people were feeling flush.

or have a PO box address to send cheques to, probably better for people who think it might be a scam (new members etc.)

Ray_223,
I checked it the first day the site was down and the domain wasn't available for purchase.

Hi ikhom,
I'm no expert - but I believe some of those spammy sites auto register expired domains - so I'd assume it was probably only available for a few minutes and then snapped up.

all i got was an error site not available, no domian crap what so ever, its all fixed now , it wasnt gregs fault aka pageo0044 clerical error at the other end, if we all chipped in we could run a comp with prizes or something or just help greg pay for the up keep , just a thought.....pete we could even sell t shirts with i survived the finch forum crash of 2010
