Its not the growing that is hard, just normal crop management. The hard part is having the skill and machinerary to harvest
the crop at the early stage.
Then you need massive freezing facilities as well to store it.
The Lowes and there partner did a huge amount of research, trial and error to get to where they are now.

The only thing Im doing is growing Johnston grass and Guinea grass for the seed in them. Trouble is I have to get at it before the wild birds do, so its being delivered to my birds one stalk at a time.

Not the ideal situation but at least its something. I have looked into getting some milk seed but from what I have found out you need to order quite a bit at one time.

Same here, Ive just pulled it out and given it to the chickens. It had the heads on it too, didnt look much like the millet I get from the bird place.
I do put seed in pots and when the green shoots come up I give that to the birds, they seem to like that.

I posted a month or so ago for anyone that was interested in sydney to join forces and split a pallet and only got a couple of replies that were 5 or 10 containers which didnt justify it.
think it was about 3-4k per pallet delivered to Sydney and the were a 300+ containers on it.
Need a few people that are after around 30-40 + cartons each.
