they're absolutely tiny when they first hatch!! and all sit on mums back so the turtles can't get them!!
got a pair at my work nesting at the moment, gonna get the camera out some time soon and get some snaps of the nest, parents and then the young when they hatch. they're hilarious to watch, whenever they go to leave the nest they quickly pull up bits of pond weed/grasses and put it over the top of the eggs, then dash off!
