Mark Shepard Australian grass finches,Another good Author to release a new book next year. His first, Aviculture in Australia, Is a good one for the finch and parrot keepers alike. This one is sounding good. One dedicated to finches. I like the charts on nest location ,incubation times, breeding times etc etc in the previous book.I wonder if any of our members were the lucky ones to purchess the original plates going in the book,As they are all already sold to a private collection ???

Not out yet, now "later this year". below is the response to my email enquiry from the art gallery looking after the paintings:
Thank you for your email. As yet there isn't a price for the book. It will be a large coffee table sized book and there are also limited edition copies that will be available. We do know that the Limited edition, leather bound book comes with an original small painting by Tony Pridham of a grass finch of your choice. It is expected to be over $2000. The normal book, we think will be between $100 and $150. Until the price is set by the publishers we can only guess at this stage.
At that size and price I won't be buying the limited edition

I was just looking at the cover art again - on the assumption that photo is in the wild, is that a white chested young bird in the middle of the top row???
Edit: on closer inspection, maybe it's a pictorella....
