Witchgrass (Panicum capillare) Most of us have probably inadvertently used this grass as it grows readily in most gardens a spring/summer growing plant with furry leaves and a spray type seed head. Excellent nesting material for gouldians.

Deb, I speak pure Australian. Definately not English. And no hope of anything as complicated as Latin. :petrified: On you all that do but for getting into it with the Latin names.

Think this is a great idea, but unless you've got someone to show you it's difficult (for me anyway ) to identify all the grasses without some super clear photos. Have tried googling some of the ones that are referred to often but pictures often ambiguous. What do others think?

Mick has some good photos elsewhere on the forum. Maybe it could be possible to slice and dice and put the Names, Pics, how we use them and where info into one thread? Poor Admin, keep coming up with jobs for them. Or maybe the slicing and dicing could turn into a Newsletter article for Feb.?

If anyone wants to take on the task of slicing and dicing to make an article for the newsletter Im more than happy to put it in the Feb issue.
