what foods is needed

i think my gouldians are moulting because there feathers don't look good what foods is good and when birds moult do they need more protiens?

Gouldians in the moult, mine are moulting too. Are blinking ugly.

with this weather they wouldnt know what was what ...anyhoo you can get a moulting aid ....if you have nests in the cage I might think they should come out until the moult is finished ....new home , moulting and then egg laying might just be too much for them.

We made up a special seed mix for ours, according to one of our books. Couldn't get all the seeds they suggested though.
25% French millet
5% hungarian millet
10% japanese millet
5% red millet
45% canary seed
5% Niger seed.
Most of these seeds can be bought from bird supplier shops. I hope this helps.
