Our quail hen has started laying again. Her current chicks are only two weeks old, so to avoid being swamped with a huge number of chicks, we are thinking of taking this lot of eggs out. Is that what other people do? and is there a use for the eggs (given that some may be fertilised but she has not yet started sitting to incubate them)? Is it ok for us to eat them (or to use them for our other birds).
Thank you for any thoughts.

saw someone mention feeding them to their zebs , which is probably what I would do with an excess . Ive never eaten quail eggs but more and more am seeing them sold in shops so cant see why you cant eat them though you may want a heck of a lot to get a decent feed .
Ive toyed with the idea of keeping a couple of larger quail solely as a food source for the other birds ( the eggs ) .

Accept that some days you are the pigeon, and some days you are the statue.
