Canary Pox

Anyone any experience with Avian pox in canaries? One of my last chicks developed it shortly after fledging. Because it was so young the only isolation I could do meant putting the Dad and sibling in as well. Avian vet said they would be unlikely to catch it as they were clear at the time I saw him. However sibling now has it so on vet's advice started that one as well on a 10 day course of antibiotics just to prevent any secondary bacterial infections. Was asking Finchbreeder if she had any experience as am concerned about my 2 pairs of adults. It lasts for at least a month and one of the modes of transmission is via mosquitos so while ever the two young are still infectious there is still a risk for the others. Dad still feeding them a bit but weaning them so am monitoring their weights to see how they cope once he stops.
