you get splits and the head colours genetically get all mixed up - I doubt if there's a pure head colour gouldian in captivity out there today. SOMEWHERE through the decades they've likely been crossed with another colour.
I like predictability, and I like to know what I'm buying. If I get what's advertised as a "pure" red head pair I don't what black-face young.
