My pair of lovebirds are up to there second batch now.
3 babies hopefully will leave the nest soon. (they are starting to get really noisy)
1 question: should I separate the pair or as they have bonded just leave them.

Take the nest away if you don't want them to breed . Hate the thought of separating bonded pairs .

What Deb Said. Splitting a bonded pair of Lovies stresses them out for no good reason. Just take their box away, they'll get over that.

Which species do you have? If you have Peachfaces they can still nest without a box if they want too. I have had them nest on the floor without box; the hen just digs a hole for the eggs and incubates. Pairs can be separated and will rebond again if they wish or will bond with a new partner.

I have not had Fischers or Masks nest on the floor.

I have kept them for 20 years.
