New Goulds looked stressed

Hi all,
I bought myself a pair of white breasted goulds yesterday from a breeder who was selling out, I put them together in an isolation breeding cabinet overnight rather than straight out into the main aviary and this morning they are looking quite stressed

theyre very fluffed up and seem quite edgy. Is there anything I could do or feed to them that might calm them down? Thanks.

welcome roy , maybe some spark electrolites in the water ...some birds stress badly when moved about and this will help get them through it .

Agree with Deb Roy, you could also try covering up half the cabinet with a towel or similar so they feel a bit more secluded/secure. If their drinking and water containers are behind this they will feel more confidant to venture down to eat and drink.

Thanks guys, umm never heard of spark electrolytes where can I get it? They have improved ten fold throughout the day and I have spotted them eating and drinking so hopefully the worst is over, by jeez they gave me a good scare though

That first few days with any new bird is always scary , if theres anything wrong with the bird the stress of changing house will bring it to the fore , glad they have picked up , you can get Spark online and its a good standbye to have on hand for a number of minor ailments and can make the difference between birds getting over illness or not.
If you breed Spark will help with any abandoned young / eggbound mums / dehydrated birds the list goes on.
