Devils Bend on the Macquarie River here in Dubbo has a good population of wild Plumheads . Cant appreciate what a handsome bird they are until you see them up close or in a photo , at a distance they look quite ordinary .

one of my favourites,beautiful colours when sun hits them. very placid. good bird to train others with food will try everything. veryvery underrated bird. breeds easily. easy to sex. if you have never had this breed in your aviary, i highly recommend you get a pair.
