i wish i had a good news update for you guys but sadly no.
the silver hen only made 18 months old before i found her dead on the floor one morning while feeding. no apparent trauma but butcher birds were about at that time.
i still have plenty of normal diamonds and her offspring etc but have not had any other "different" one's to date.
there are young about to fledge soon so i keep my fingers crossed, but enjoy the normals anyway.
i have added fresh blood to my colony to hopefully keep them vigourous.

mutation breeding is another aspect to our hobby that excites many of us....but to be honest not me i'm afraid.
still trying to weed out ay and wb out of my "normal" gouldians and cinnamon from my stars!
i believe i am drawn to the purer species so watch out if you suddenly come up with pied pictorellas or green doublebars, wont be a happy camper!!

Pied Pics I would believe. But anyone tells me they have green Double Bars and I check their water bottle for Vodka.
