Well it looks like we are about to get the tail end of Yasi. Forecast is for 100 to 150mm over the next few days and some flooding.By the look of the cloud rolling in from the east the forecast may not be too far wrong.

Buzzard they are saying biggest flood since 1988.See how we go but the cloud moving in does have that blueish green tinge and we have cloud on two levels heading in different directions.Usually thats a sign its about to really let loose. We were warned early today and had a big clean up at work. We`ve had a bit of rain this week so were in the situation that it wont take a lot to see the rivers get going.People have been warned not to drive too far and be very wary of creek crossings.Fingers crossed as with many places we built a town right in the flood plain. The river here also only has a narrow gap to exit out of town.

Take care everyone. Yasi has already done more than it's share of damage to the country.

god luck and stay safe.
i visited the Todd in 2004, dug down a bit and yup there was the water. Beautiful place. Traveled uphill a bit and saw some black footed rock wallabies
