i'm in the same boat, but don't know if they are are compatible with my lot. probably a good place to ask!! would they be compatible with a mixed collection of diamonds, emblemas, masked grassfinches, gouldians, double bars, plumheads and redbrows? also, what kind of food and feeding regime is necessary?

cheers

I think I will have to work my way up the blue bird chain before I take on those! I think you have to go out collecting spiderwebs for the nests! :boggle: :worry:

best to keep them in a well planted aviary by themselves, maybe with less fragile birds that dont require live food, they can be nice one minute then turn the next, need a well planted aviary with lots of places for the hen hide . as i have found if in a cage with lack of cover and plenty of local wrens around , it can send the male a bit nuts as he cant get the birds out side so he goes the poor hen which can be fatal.....pete

Hey spanna, may be worth sending garymc a pm.He`s had a fair bit of success and i dont think his avairies are all that heavily planted.
