Think these are the little guys that live wild on the foreshore down the road from me.
They are lively and have a nice little song if I'm right about the variety.

yep you would be right . they are found from around wanaroo and up to the far north of wa..they are slightly smaller than the splendids......pete

Yep - on a good day you can see whole familys of them ducking in and out through the bush and calling to each other.
No wonder I pointed out to the local City Council on their feedback survey that they should stick most of their development ideas for this area and stick to Eco tourism as per the requests of the average tourist when answering surveys on the subject.
Being a long time local who knows a smattering of the local councilor migh help get me listened to.
Alternatively - you-all visit Geraldton and drop into the local tourism office and ask where can I see the White winged wrens?

hmmm no kidnapping. I know I'll just borrow a few, you can have them back after a couple of years breeding

Have them here , they love getting into the corners of the back verandah picking out bugs from spiderwebs...gawjus things to watch .

i want the black and white ones that live on the islands of the coast here. they are not on the mainland.....pete p.s i already have white wings in the backyard everyday....
