Joness Birds has been advertising hens on petlink as recently as today. He did have pairs (or a pair at least) advertised perhaps three weeks ago. Also believe that there were more than a couple at the Ballarat bird sale - Keven S may have some contacts on that front

You should know the law, NO imports allowed.
Even suggesting could have the authorities knocking on doors.
Believe me that is not a great experience.
The numbers of Chaffinches has actually increased over the last couple of years
as some of the Melb. based Maltese have done well and have got a number on the perch
