Saturn Biotech does DNA testing too, they have connections with Murdoch Uni, couldnt find out the cost of the test, but the blood sampling kit is free, see below

Each year I have a number of birds DNA tested
Currently I use Molecular Diagnostic Services Australia P/L or MDS!!!
email [email protected]

Originally I would send feathers away with the quill intact but they wrong a number of times so I switched over to blood teasting
and they have been 100% to my knowledge.
Simply contact them and they will send out a test kit to put the sample in.
As I have mentioned before I use a nail clipper to snip the claw just above the vein and a small drop of blood appears
dab it on the tape in the test kit and send it away.Make sure there isn't any DNA material on the clippers from the previous bird.
Cost is around $16 but far cheaper when you do a number.
Send the sample to Canberra prior to Friday and you will get the results by midweek.
DNA is ideal for hard to sex birds or those that mature slowly. It also stops the smarties from ringing up saying you sold them 2 cockbirds.
