Im a new member from the south east of S.A and enjoy all things with feathers with a soft spot for finches i currently dont keep any mainly due to back yard room! (common problem when terminal bird bug takes hold) but am in the process of looking for more room for of course more aviaries!!
Have previously kept and bred Gouldians,stars,Painteds,Double Bars,Blue and Red Faced Parrot Finches and a variety of Quail.
Looking forward to joining in and reading about your experiences with birds especially Softbills an area i hope to move into 1 day Also.....

Welcome to the forum. Got a spare room you can convert to a bird room? It happens when the back yard gets full. Though it helps if you live alone. Partners get so difficult about feathers in the house.
