The coloured bands are for visual ID of the individual bird, on the right leg you will notice the silver aluminium band, this band is from the bird & bat banding scheme run by DEHC. ( was much better when run by the CSIRO).

My favourite wren of all time, the grey Grasswren coming a close second :D :D
does anyone keep them???
