Bought a Yellow Faced Star Cock yesterday as I had two spare hens. Only trouble is that his song is completely different to any other Stars that I have had or heard and the other Stars seem just as bemused as me when he starts singing. Any ideas?

Probably just a little stand offish because he is the new kid on the block .

singing, I know for a fact that all zebras sing different songs, though usually a variation on a tune. However, recent research suggests zebra songs may be influenced by human voices. could that be what's happening here?

Listened more closely this arvo and guess what... he sounds like a Zebra. Surely he couldn't have been fostered by Zebs and taken on the call?

Maybe fostered or maybe just housed with Zebs and copied them . Will be interesting to see how the girls react to him in time .
