I really want button quail, especially littles :)
I recently got a PM from Clawd giving me a number for a guy selling a pair, but he took his birds to Gunnedah so until I hear otherwise I will assume he sold them :|
so where else can i get LBQ's?? I know P. Mandry has at least a pair, haven't talked to him for a while though and he probably won't be near canberra for a while. I certainly won't be going to melbourne anytime soon  even local expert Adam Fitzgerald had no clue Re this question. so anyone got any ideas?
especially if anyone has or knows someone who has newly hatched chicks, would prefer to wait until mid-april-ish for aviary to be complete.

If i'm still going, I'll have a look tomorrow Jay, if theres some there that arn't to dear I'll grab some, & can send them down when it warms up again (Sept-Oct). But got to wait to see if I'm going, the old boy fell over this arvo & dislocated his shoulder, they couldn't put it back in at the local hospital, so they doped him out on morphine & sent him to Grafton, he was out like a lite in about 2 minutes flat after the shot  , so I've got a couple of options, leave at 3am as planned, & hope everyone else can do the morning feed, leave it till after sun up, feed the birds, the n go straight to the sale before I pick my seed up, or not go at all, but won't know till later tonite.

He does it regularly, goes to get termites instead of waiting for me to get home, comes back 45 min later covered in grass & dirt, & says he "tripped in a rabbit hole". Been here 21 year & have never seen a rabbit hole yet  . Plenty of hares, & plenty of hollows & fallen trees for warrens, but never a burrow.

I've ordered 3 bags of sunflower, but found a drum full I didn't know I had, so that'll save me about $120, so I'll see how I go. Never know, if they breed while there here, i'll send down some young instead.
