There are all sorts of birds up for sale, the problem is knowing who has them.
People who have birds that are in demand are reluctant to say anything for fear of being unindated by hopefull buyers
Sadly with some species you just can't breed enough and its generally the strangers that miss out as those in the know are organising early in the season.

Thanks E orix
yes I can understand that, I'd also offer rarer birds to people I knew first and let it expand from there

Its one of those things where if you dont want them everybody got them for sale ....as soon as you want them BAM like hens teeth ...
Just go about your business , play with the finches and one day out of the blue they will be there ...of course its usually the same week you just emptied the bank account to buy rego or insurance or some other of lifes necessities

Jayburd,
Call the number I gave you. The gentleman has the birds you are after and is awaiting your call. He did take three hens to Gunnedah - all were sold to a bloke in S.A. No overgrown beaks though.
Faith, patience and … discretion.
Regards
Clawd

Word bird breeders cringe at when a buyer utters it ......" HOLD "
Im sure your intentions are honorable Jay but so many sales are lost to people putting birds on hold and not turning up .... to soften the blow offer a deposit just before you say HOLD ....please.

Orix, I'm not deserting you, contact your guy if he has some for sale that's great this person may not work out and if it does I'm sure he could find homes for them in Canberra ;)
