ok guys. ( jluna yes they do make them, yum yum ;) )
how about this then - (my aviary is 3.5 x 2.3m) 1 pair each of parrot finches, saints, plumheads, gouldians, and double bars? seems fairly understocked to me. I'd be happy to go with another pair of double bars and saints as well, but previous comments have clearly ruled that out.

I think so too. shame the plainer ones seem to outnumber the colourful ones (3-2) but double bars saints and plummies are so cute and lovely they are unresistable

that sounds like a good list. never underestimate the plain ones! a healthy doublebar is a refined and beautiful thing, and great contrast to the coloured birds. keep it simple, jayburd - you won't regret it.
