Apparently my new avairy 1.5x1.1.5 x1.8h can only hold 2 breeding pairs.(Gouldians)
Apparently its not a good idea to put 2 males in as they will fight

Can i put 3 females and 1 male(lucky fella)?????????????

yes that should be fine.
I have done that on occasion (lost/sold a male) and they were all happy chaps - especially the male  no more competition!

I have had up to 4 pair in an aviary that size, most breeding well.

Hi Brett, If you are putting 3 pairs in, you might be better to put black or yellow headed birds in, as they tend to be more mellow when nesting close to other pairs when compared to red heads.

Just try 3 pairs. If a fight breaks out there's to many birds a no one knows who to biff!

So long as you have another cage/aviary available to put any offspring into as soon as they are fully self sufficient.
otherwise your aviary will become overcrowded very quickly.
