Hi im interested how many times a year you breed your birds? If they are willing............

I generally i breed 3-4 times a year, depending on success rate, size of each clutch, eagerness and condition.

If your bird has 3-4 failed clutches or 1-2 chicks every other clutch such as 2 out of 3. Does this give ur birds more leway to try again?

Or is the limit 2-4 times a year?

All my bengalese finches would carry on year round if you let them *I dont* but they would.

Yep I would , but Id be watching her and keeping up the calcium / D3 supplies as she has still produced eggs even though she hasn't raised them.
Good luck , hope the change in mate does the trick.

Did you break the eggs? Were they fertile? Is the hen or cockbird young,Were they treated recently for any infections? There are a myriad of reasons.
