sandpaper for perches if they are smooth enough or a scourer and warm water .
I try not to use chemicals but will use a very mild detergent if I'm going to be able to rinse off.

As deb said sandpaper on perches, then I use pinoclean to disinfect and let them dry for about 2 hrs. Change my branches before and after breeding season .

Mostly I use natural branches pruned from fruit trees like mulberry or I find cape lilac branches and gum tree branches very good too. Just turn them into firewood every now and then and put newly pruned branches in. Saves work and is a surefire way of making sure any bugs don't get to hang arround.
