we plan to introduce two males from our first clutch of babies with a pair of females. the females are arund 6-8 months old. the younge males are now at a month old. we are going to wait until they mature before we introduce them, does the age gap matter?

Not with Zebs, one of, if not the easiest finch to pair, if you've got a male & a female, your pretty much garenteed of young. But in saying that, compatible pairs will produce more young, more often, although with Zebs, again, not much of a problem.

zebs can breed from 9 weeks of age, thats why they have many more colour mutations than other finches. age is no problem , like VR said they pair easy and breed quite freely....pete
