how do I breed these guys? I have got 3 pairs..I hadnt realy thought about it but apparently I should breed them with plain grey native zebs to keep their bloodline strong not eachother??? I was wondering will I get charcoal offspring from this or will they be a mixture ? Iv never bred birds as such before but as these guys are hard to get thought I would let them try

hi i do breed charcoals but i have never bred them with the normals,so i dont know if it would be a mixture but id say it would, i must say though the charcoals can be hard to get sometimes in my area as well

hi,yes seemed odd to me I think I will just put them in with eachother for now and see how it gos..hopefully if they do breed there wouldnt be problems for at least 2 generations and by then I can get other pairs somewhere else if I want to continue breeding them or just be happy with what iv got and remove breeding boxs..
funny iv been after them for about 6 months and they are interesting but Iv still got a weekness for a lovely lightly marked zeb.Gosh there are some pretty ones around!!!

funny that i saw some of those in the pet store the other day ago but they looked in pretty bad condition, i brought money thinking id end up buying some cause i saw them there a couple of weekends ago but they must have deteriorated in condition so i didnt buy them.

as far as getting them I'm in Sydney and 4 of the big specialist bird stores either cannot get or are keeping to breed themselves and will "not be selling anytime soon".they aren't expensive at $15 each but 2 breeders said they had to pay $20-$30 to buy themselves on rare occasion they can get them. One guy insisted they were licence only ?? as they were so rare ..really quite odd .Apparently my guys are from a breeder in Adelaide so perhaps they are common there

well i mean they are common in my area they just sell for the normal price about $10 a pair but because there so cheap they sell so quickly so i cant ever get any.
