Hi when you use it on your birds make sure you only use a tiny amount, I tried doing it to two of my gouldians and they ended up dyeing from it, make sure you have been told how to use it properly or the same thing may happen with my birds, I'd leave it a week or two to do the new birds that you have purchased

If you read through the thread on airsac mite, Fincho put up the dosage rates that he uses.

Just make sure you know what concentration of ivermectin you are using, so you can dose them accurately. It should be on the bottle.

If I remember correctly as I don't have mine on hand at the moment, if your worried about overdosing you can try 2ml of ivomec to 1 litre of water, should be strong enough to knock worms not to sure if it will knock off airsac mites. Deffintly wouldn't apply more than 2 drops directly to the bird.

Thats a pretty vague label, certainly not one I would be trusting - you need to know the strength, the dose per kg - the label provides none of those

i can tell you bought the ivomec from the sale, from the older gentelman that sells all the nest boxes, rings, etc. am i right????

iv used his ivomec for a while now, i have squirted a couple of drops into the mouth of gouldians with no ill effect, but..... thats just my birds, mabey start with 1 drop on the back of the neck and see how the birds respond.

Always follow the instructions on the label, caution if in doubt or ask a vet if you are not sure. Read some of the advice given on previous threads as previously suggested.
