Aussie Finch Forum

Ok we all know its there now and most of us have a doppelganger there too ( I would be JustDubbo ) and we have all had a look to see what silliness they have come up with each day but I gotta say this ....

By making comments about them we are only fueling the silliness as they use everything we say to continue the slagging match .

I would love to know what started this vendetta but maybe I'm not meant to know anyhoo I just feel that if we ignore them and give them enough rope they will soon disappear .

So dont think me to be chastising because I'm not and I gotta admit I do go over there as a guest and check things out .

Sad thing is there's plenty of room for more than one finch forum , there's more than a few people that belong to different forums , there's nothing at all wrong with that .

AFF is strong and growing stronger all the time , another forum isn't going to affect AFF at all.

So that's how I feel and it was a giggle at first but now it is just sad that things are the way they are .

Had a bit of a squiz myself and even registered. Has nothing for me. Understand your thoughts but am quite content to stay at home ie: AFF. Honestly, I had forgotten all about that place until you mentioned it. Says it all. AUSSIE, AUSSIE,AUSSIE, FINCH,FINCH, FINCH go the FORUM!

If you want a real cackle have a look at the posts on "Californian Quail " I have been following the banter just for the laughs and rampant one-upman-ship. And it's going to get better! My Doppleganger is Tinto.

like you say, plenty of room for another forum, but not one with info like that. if they want to try and make a more popular forum, they can try, but they will fail. especially with members like that. a sad day to be a west aussie, what a bunch of yobbos.

Thanks Tintola. had a quick look. A lot of the species discussed to date I am not familiar with so can't comment on those, there was an interesting reply as to whether it is ok to mix red and yellow painteds. however that is only one person's response. I enjoy AFF, and one reason in particular has been the lack of politics and the support that people give each other. So probably would not look at other forums for this reason. I get the infor and support I need here.
If other people enjoy being on other forums also that is their prerogative and they can draw their own conclusions as to the quality of the information. As Deb said in her earlier post, there is room for everyone. It isn't a competition but comes down to personal preference. AFF is mine.
