No need for a photo ,splits look exactly like a normal,all be it be green back or yellow back,garyh

As garyh has said split blues look just like a normal bird, however on some of the birds Ive bred from pairs that I know could produce splits I could see a definite blue sheen to the shoulders.
I stress that is was only on some birds and this blue sheen was not as visible on the hens.

I see the blue in some of my splits. Is like they have been lighly sprayed with blue spray paint.
Breeding Project 2020-2025.
agate mosaic canaries, agate yellow mosaic canaries, red zebs, self bengos and goldfinch mules.

In any normal male gouldian you will see a blue tinge ,most new breeders of blue goulds,think this is how you tell the splits,not so,only true way is blue to split ,the rest is rubbish,some people think they know it all ,but in reality need to have a good look at normals,fantastic colored birds,garyh
