This is my first time breeding Australian Yellows, thought I would share some pics of the babies, Parents are a RH PB split AY and a RH AY hen.

Thanks I really pleased with them, this is their second round the first round produced two nice splits.

As I only have the one pair I going to need to buy some more this year to breed with mine next year.

Congratulations. Do you think they are the same as the normal gouldians when it comes to breeding or more like some of the more delicate mutations?

I have found them the same as normal Gouldians but maybe i just got luckly with mine.

Nice young ones Simba. Aus Yellows are my favourite gould mutation.

Di, they are pretty much as strong as normals and provided they are not mated colour to colour they produce good sized fertile clutches.

I was just reading this and i think i may have an AY baby by just looking at the nodules on your pics.
Only thing is that both parents are sex linked yellow, could they have possibly been split????

Hate to put a damper on it finchman but i think it's a euro yellow and wouldn't it be great if those young aussies yellows stayed pied like they are in the nest,strange how it all disapperers when they moult out Craig

it doesnt bother me if its euro or AY its just the confusion with the outer nodules because all my other euro yellow babies the same age in another clutch have blue outer nodules and this one doesnt and the nodules are exact same with the one in simbas pics.
