Do any WA based members here know the contact details of the Finch Society of WA which I would like to join if it still exists. The contacts listed on the net are outdated. I have also tried to find the details from the Avicultural Society of WA via phone call and email but they are unhelpful (don't know why, do the 2 societies have a disagreement?)
Thank you in advance

It does exist, there was a phone number listed but I don't have it. Some of the other members have been to meetings recently so may be able to help. They are not good at answering emails though so that may not be the best way to contact them. Have you tried the white pages?

Thanks but I have tried this number and the gentleman who answers states that he is now too old and isn't involved anymore. He gave me a contact number but this was also incorrect. Any WA members able to help?Buzzard-1 wrote:Finch Society of WA Malaga 94017656
I'm just in the planning stages of my aviary and wish to buy locally bred finches from members, the selection in the shops around here is not very big

Thanks I'll write to them. Yes I suspected a bit of rivalry, but then again I wish to join both clubs

Yes thanks, a lot of expertise here. Aviary will be ready for birds early spring when its not so bloody cold (just went crabbing in the Swan and it was freeeeezing, huge crabs though)Redwing wrote:Quite a few WA breeders on the forum if you're wanting some locally bred birds.
SO to all Perth breeders I'll be after non-mutation gouldians, red face parrots and plum headed finches in a few months, happy to pay well for good quality birds

Where did you crab? Friend went crabbing down near Mosman Park a few weeks ago in a kayak! Said it was tricky pulling up the drop nets and putting them in the sack without getting bitten.
