Well we have had our first loss this morning,my little girl came running inside and said she could only see 2 uncoloured gouldians,we have 3.So down we went to the avairy, i could not find it i was looking for about 5 min before i found it between the timber frame of the avairy.

We think it was just the cold nights, the avairy is protected.

I think as there where 3 babies and 1 adult gouldian it was the odd one out ??????.

Anyway Ashlee(7y) was very upset :worry: :( and in the afternoon we made a cross saying RIP Anzac (birds name).LOL

Got to love the kids

Thats no good . Sorry about Anzac.
Accept that some days you are the pigeon, and some days you are the statue.

Sorry to hear that Brett. Its always a bit touch and go when uncoloured gouldians move house - and the freezing weather certainly doesn't help.

Sorry to hear that. But look on the bright side, it is your first nest and 2 are doing fine.

Sorry about your loss. It is upsetting for kids (and adults!). Our little boy has been learning about death since we got our birds... Sad but also an important part of life for them to learn. Be prepared for questions about death and dying if that is her first experience with it.
Enjoy your other birds though.
