wondering if anyone else uses the spear heads as nesting material for their birds.
my birds prefer it over feathers, even the lazy Gouldians line their nests with it

Is that why you used to see it everywhere and now you don't? Just goes to show I should keep up with the rules about plants.

there's some across the road from my place. a fire went through a while ago and burnt everything down to the ground, took the opportunity to grab some of the small clumps of grasses growing back, one i know is pampas and another unknown grass, but have planted as future nest sites for my pictas. there are still some small clumps of pampas there still, but it's a real bloody pain to dig out, and didn't do well with transplanting!!! but still alive... just... if you're up for a trip...poitta wrote:I did have my eye on some at work but they went and cut them out on me the buggers as they are a noxious weed over here....would like to give it a go , anything for free .....pete
