I have a single pair of scarlets in one mixed finch aviary. They breed really well - but not at the moment. Have sold all of last seasons young I'm afraid. I've never had any trouble selling them - usually about $100 pair.

You will need a license for Turks . I sold off 3 pair a few months ago .
The Scarlets I have a pair still but no sign of bonding let alone breeding . $100 a pair from a breeder sounds right ,expect to pay $130 in a pet shop ( well around here anyway ).
Good luck in your search , beautiful little birds .

My grandfather breeds both and has a few spares but is taking them to the Wagga sale this weekend. He even a hybrid of the two at one stage - interesting looking bird but had nothing on the originals :) I am not sure about pricing though. Are you after the white fronted blues or normals in the scarlets?

If your not partial to mutations then a good pair or 2 of normals will be the big sellers in the near future . Like many of our parrots the normals are getting hard to find and demand is on the rise .

Now I wish I had normals .
