They should breed all year round given reasonable conditions.

I think i will start with breeding Zebras,the local breeder has them foe $3 each.
They are going in a cabinet.

like desertbirds said , given the right condition they will breed all year round. unlike most other finches that take 9 to 12 months to be mature enough to breed , the good old zebbie can be ready at the age of three months , good diet plenty of greens over winter especially ..pete

mine are breeding at the moment (just had my first cluch now just about to sell them ) but i need a new avariy as mine was wreck in the floodeds any one know where i can get one asap newcastle area nsw???? plz help.

G'day,

Mine will breed all year in an outside aviary. Main issue I have had is the small fledglings leaving the nest when the more mature ones do. I find I need to put them back in the nest box or they freeze overnight as they sometimes aren't the best of flyers. In fact my main pair have just started their third nest of the year so they will hatch in the middle of Canberra's winter. Good luck,
