Just got back home an hour or so ago... I've never been to Castle Hill Sale before - massive, literally thousands of people. Had to park some distance away and then line up for about 20 minutes to get through the door! Sorry, left the phone in the car so no photos.
Given the number of birds (hookbills to burn), I'd say finches were rather thin although I got what I was after. My purchases - Red Siskin Cock ($100), Tri Color PF Cock ($25), Pair of Strawberries ($100, I only wanted a hen really) and a pair of Ruddies ($35) for my son. All in a small flight cage now and all seem fine health wise. I didn't see any Longtails or Plumheads (wish I'd taken some of mine).

Bummer Sam I missed you! I was there I saw 2 pair of longtails and a strawberry hen for $25. Speaking of hookbills I got a pair of elegants normals for $30 couldn't say no. Gotmy scarlets off Ernie and got my red brow extra pair for $25 old guy was really nice a said he breeds a few but not heaps and there young. All and all a great day. Regret not seeing you Sam. And not meeting anyone else

I think I saw E Orix, selling alot of Granider Weavers... but... Yeah, also saw someone selling a lot of budgies from here ;)
